Alexandra Valenti’s Painted Images

I first learned of Austin based photographer Alexandra Valenti‘s painted images when a photographer friend Mattie Krall posted this image as her cover photo on Facebook.

I then came across Alexandra’s beautiful duo tone and water color painted images was when model/muse Kelley Ash posted this image on her Instagram feed @awildatheart . The juxtaposition of the duo-tone film photographs and the hand painted water color designs onto the photographs is a technique I have never encountered before. The result is something that is both haunting and playful- a bohemian punk approach to fashion and lifestyle photographer that stands out in feed of increasingly similar images.
